I read all the self-help and business books…

For years I was searching for answers that would help me achieve my objectives, attain my financial goals and develop my full potential as a human being. Over this period of time I literally spent tens of thousands of dollars reading self-help books, listening to audio programs, purchasing home study courses, attending those big events, seminars and workshops.

The information I was learning was absolutely incredible, however the problem was that I became an “information junkie”, where I would literally collect all this great information that would help me succeed in any field of endeavor, however I simply didn’t take any action because I was absolutely and completely overwhelmed with everything I was learning.

I spent quite a number of years literally “sitting” in this phase of my life collecting, categorizing, and organizing everything I was learning into a personal development diary that I hoped to use one day to turn my dreams into reality.

Life coaching put things into perspective for me…

Towards the end of this period of my life I attained a life coaching qualification from the Life Coaching Institute of Australia. For obvious reasons, the knowledge I gained at the institute was transferred into my ever expanding personal development diary. It wasn’t until I started coaching clients on a regular basis that everything I was learning all these years started to come into perspective.

By living through my coaching client’s life experiences I finally realized that there was a missing ingredient that people were missing in their lives. Most of my clients had read many self-help books, listened to audio programs and attended seminars and workshops, however they still didn’t have the confidence or self-belief to overcome their life’s challenges by themselves. Why was this the case?

Developing a framework around the psychology of success

What I discovered was that my coaching clients had all the necessary knowledge and resources within themselves to achieve their goals and objectives. However, what they were missing was a framework — a kind of step-by-step plan of action that would get them the end results they wanted to achieve. Without this framework they were emotionally paralyzed, overwhelmed and couldn’t take action on what they already knew, which is why they turned to a Life Coach for answers.

Discussing this at length with some of my clients I realized that what they needed was something tangible that they could use and reference on a daily basis that would help guide them in life. They needed a framework that would help them manage life’s biggest challenges and problems.

A few years before this I had been experimenting with mind mapping and using it for brainstorming purposes. Moreover, I also started using it as a tool that helped me manage the information I was learning far more effectively. From my personal experiences, I realized how valuable mind mapping was, and I therefore decided to turn all those years of collecting self-help information into a mind mapping framework that could be easily understood and applied to help anyone achieve anything their heart desires.
